Kyle Hoover - Lead Pastor/Elder

Kyle has been in ministry since 1998, serving on large and small church staffs and college campus-based ministries. He and his wife, Christine, have been married since 2000 and have three very energetic boys: Will, Reese, and Luke. His passions are in the areas of personal discipleship, missions, and family ministry. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and received his Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Kyle enjoys playing hockey, golf, reading, traveling, and dominating at Settlers of Catan.

Kyle’s wife, Christine, is a stay-at-home mom and writer. She enjoys serving alongside her husband in ministry, especially in areas of hospitality and discipleship. Other passions include reading, decorating, playing softball, and time with friends over a good cup of coffee.

Bill Bray – Teaching Pastor/Elder

Along with Kyle, Bill is a founding pastor/elder of CCC. Bill has a passion to teach the Word of God in such a way that it causes people to discover who Jesus really is and the joy and hope that He offers to each one of us! When he is not out and about in the community, Bill enjoys playing racquetball and golf.

Matt Brumbelow – Elder for Local Outreach

Matt grew up in Nebraska, Texas, and Kenya before moving to Charlottesville in 1998 to attend UVa.  Shortly before graduating he met and fell in love with his wife Jessica, who graciously agreed to marry him.  Matt now works as a researcher with a non-profit highway safety organization.  He and Jessica have been blessed with three kids and their family has been a part of CCC since early 2010.  Matt gets excited about seeing God transform his own life and the lives of others through the truth revealed in Scripture, and desires to be part of a church body where all the members realize their calling as full-time ministers of the gospel, whatever their vocation. matt@cvillechurch.org

Jessica enjoys being at home with her three kids.  Hiking, cooking, gardening, speaking French, and snail mail are some of her favorite pastimes.  Jessica likes having others in her home and being able to connect with other families in her neighborhood.  Though she’s proud of being born in Rhode Island, Jessica has lived most of her life in the state of Virginia.

Joseph Holm – Worship Pastor

Joseph has been leading worship for most of the past 6 years. His passions for ministry are encouragement, music, and apologetics.  Other favorites: breakfast dates with his wife Tahni, Dallas sports teams, the National, Death Cab for Cutie, Chesterton, and Dostoevsky. joseph@cvillechurch.org

Joseph’s wife, Tahni, is a photographer and artist who is passionate about all things having to do with art and culture. She studied Africa and The Middle East in college and hopes to one day be serving on the foreign mission field, preferably in a French-speaking country. Here in Charlottesville, and at CCC, she is involved in the missions ministry and has served in various capacities all over the world. Her other interests are ancient greek, hip hop dancing, traveling, fuzzy animals, and cheese.

Adam Nuckols – Family Life Pastor

Before surrendering to the call to full-time ministry Adam was a teacher and coach in Texas for 7 years.  He and his wife, Lacy, were married in 2004 and have two daughters: Karis and Joy.  Adam is passionate about telling others about the truth of God’s Word and seeing people of all ages become faithful, fervent followers of Jesus Christ.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University and is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity through Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Adam enjoys running and playing the guitar. adam@cvillechurch.org

Adam’s wife, Lacy, is a stay at home mom.  Lacy is passionate about studying and teaching God’s Word and discipling others to understand how God’s truth can transform their lives.  Lacy enjoys crafting and hanging out with friends over a good cup of coffee.
