What to Expect

At Charlottesville Community Church you can expect a relaxed but focused worship gathering.  The goal of the service is to clearly present the message of Jesus Christ in relevant, impactful ways.  This is done through songs (both old and new) and Biblical teaching.  Come early for coffee and a bagel and an opportunity to connect with others in the church.  We expect you to feel welcome right away!  Our church’s distinctives are:

Relevant Teaching: Dynamic and relevant teaching is a priority at Charlottesville Community Church. One of our teaching pastors will guide you through the practical and timeless truths of the Bible with humor and sincerity. We're sure you'll find the teaching inspiring and applicable to your everyday life.

Connections: One of our main goals for every Sunday service is for people to be able to connect with God and with each other. When you join us for a service, we invite you to fill out the Connection Card, which is our way of knowing who you are, what kind of needs you might have, and how we can serve you better. Please stop by our information table to find out more ways to connect with others.

Diversity: Charlottesville Community Church is a community open to all people, regardless of where they are in their spiritual journey or their church background. This is a great place to meet a diverse group of people and become a part of a supportive community that reaches out to those who are hurting, in need, or who just want to belong to something bigger than themselves.

Though we typically meet on Sundays at 10am at Cale Elementary, we are currently meeting at 5pm at First Baptist Church on Park Street. Click here for more details.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's available for my children?
Our desire at CCC is to create a fun, safe, and nurturing environment for your child each and every Sunday. Our CommKids program provides quality, Bible-based education in which the love of Jesus Christ is shared, and Biblical values are taught and reinforced.  To learn more about CommKids, click here.
What should I wear?
At CCC, we're more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. Most people will dress in casual weekend attire, so dress how you feel comfortable and you'll fit right in.
What is available beyond Sunday mornings?
Community Groups are small groups of people (8 to 15) that meet in homes once a week to connect for friendships, Bible study, prayer, and missions. We have a number of Community Groups that meet on various days and times throughout the week with different types of studies. For more information on where and when these groups meet, click here.
